OUR STORY
It began around the Word.
Our story began with a Bible study in Baton Rouge in 2023: people gathering to encounter God, explore Scripture, and grow in their understanding of His Kingdom.
That gathering grew into a church community committed to putting faith into practice. Today, our purpose remains to teach and demonstrate the Kingdom of God through discipleship, prayer, leadership development, and compassion.
We welcome people across generations and backgrounds into a community united in Christ.

MEET OUR PASTORS
Jed & Sha’Myra Brumfield
Pastor Jed Brumfield is the founder and lead pastor of Ascend Life Church. His ministry centers on helping believers understand their identity in Christ, walk in spiritual authority, and fulfill their God-given assignment.
Before the church launched, Jed served through Bible studies, mentoring emerging leaders, and preaching in local communities.
Jed and Sha’Myra married in 2016 and are parents to Caleb and Jaed. Together, they serve with a shared passion for seeing lives transformed by the Gospel.
